About me
It's long been a dream to work with flowers and plants but it's only now, since having babies and moving to Sussex, that I am actually in a position to change my career as a digital editor and really focus on FLOWERS! I have qualifications in horticulture (RHS Level 2) and floristry (NCFE Level 2).
My style
I would say I am more wild and romantic than neat and tidy (that's not to say that I don't do neat and tidy)! I love using cottage garden flowers, gloriously scented roses, herbs, grasses and other greenery.

In the summer, I have a small cutting garden (Woods Hill Cutting Garden), where I grow beautiful flowers that can supplement weddings or be sold as mixed buckets of blooms.
Being green
The floristry world is getting a teeny bit better at being ecofriendly but there's still a long way to go. I try, where possible, to do what I can. I try and use seasonal and locally grown flowers but I would say realistically the bulk of my flowers are imported. I avoid cellophane where I can and use hessian or paper instead; I opt for biodegradable oasis foam; I reuse flower boxes or return them to the wholesaler OR compost them. All spent blooms and greenery are composted here and used in the cutting garden beds! I know it's only a small amount but hopefully it goes a little way to helping...
