What should I budget for wedding flowers? To put it bluntly, wedding flowers cost a lot more than you think! And at the moment, there are lots of environmental and economic factors that aren’t helping to keep the costs down. I would say very roughly budget for around 10-15% of your total wedding budget. But it’s worth shopping around to find a cost and a florist that suits you.

What flowers do I need for my wedding?Depending on the size/budget of your wedding, you will typically need flowers for the wedding party, ceremony and reception. The wedding party You will need: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, flower girl petals/flower crowns etc, mothers of the bride and groom corsages, groom’s buttonhole, groomsmen buttonholes, buttonholes for the dads. (But when it comes to buttonholes and corsages, it’s up to you who you would like to have one.) Ceremony and reception Again this is dependent on your budget but here are few things to consider: Entrance, aisle and altar flowers – think meadow boxes, pew end posies, urns, milk churns, pillars, arches etc Reception flowers – think bowl arrangements, flower garlands, vases, bud vases, meadow tables, as well as hanging installations, flower clouds, plank designs, arches, pillar flowers, bar flowers and more If your ceremony and reception are at the same place, you may be able to move and reuse arrangements throughout the day.

Where can I find some design inspiration?I would head to Pinterest and type in what you’re looking for. You can create a wedding board that collects all your ideas in one place! Also do have a look through the weddings section on my website or head to my instagram page (@arabellafloral) for the latest news.
-
Do you have a minimum spend?Yes! My minimum spend is £1,000. I realised that although it is lovely doing lots of weddings, some of them didn’t cover my costs. My minimum spend ensures (mostly) that I can pay for the flowers, my team and for me!
-
How much do you charge for bridal bouquets and bridesmaid bouquets?I get asked this a lot! And as a loose rule, I generally don’t do bridal party flowers only. Costs for the bouquets will depend on style, number of flowers, time of year etc but prices usually start from £60 for bridesmaids and from £100 for a bridal bouquet.
-
Do you have a brochure or list of prices? No, I don’t have a brochure or price list. As all my weddings are bespoke, they are costed up on an individual basis.
-
Is there a design process for my wedding?Yes! Every wedding is completely different and designed to suit each couple’s requirements. Whether you have a clear vision or not for your wedding, I will spend time with you discussing ideas and bringing them to life through a moodboard.
-
What are my next steps? How do I arrange a consultation?Get in touch! Simply email me contact@arabellafloral.com or give me a call: 07870 271212. Once we’ve made contact, I’ll get you to fill in and send back my enquiry form before setting up a Zoom meeting so we can meet virtually. Once I know a bit more about your wedding, I will put together a rough quote based on your requirements (this is valid for 10 days, after which your wedding date will be released). If you like the sound of the quote and would like to book me just let me know. Please note, a rough quote is based on wholesale prices at the time of doing the quote. These prices are not fixed and can go up and down. A more up-to-date quote will be done closer to the wedding date to ensure prices are correct.
-
What happens once you have booked me?Once you have confirmed you’d like to book me, I will send you my Terms of Business (TOBs) and ask for a deposit to secure the date. A copy of TOBs need to be signed and sent back to me. Over the next few months, I will start putting together a more detailed proposal and create a moodboard of your wedding flowers and style. I might organise a site visit – this can be with you or without. Leading up to your wedding, we will confirm finer details, such as how things will be set up, where bouquets/buttonholes need to be delivered to etc, so on the actual day, we all know what we're doing!
-
What is your design style?I would say I follow more of a garden style, creating natural and romantic arrangements.
-
When is final payment due?Final payment is usually taken around 4-6 weeks before your wedding.
-
Is it just you or do you have a team? For most of the weddings I work on, I have my right-hand lady, Ella (who I trained with), helping me – she is amazing. For bigger weddings, I have a team of experienced, freelance florists that I call on.
-
How much do you need to know about our wedding? It’s super helpful if you can tell me as much as possible. From the basics like the wedding date and venue to the wedding theme/dream and bridesmaid dress colours etc, it really helps me visualise your wedding from a flower perspective.
-
